Over the past few years, Digital Inclusion has been engaged in several interesting projects. Focusing on leveraging technology in support of teaching and learning, as well as collaborative digital academic environments, these projects have delivered value to thousands of individuals.

DILearn.co.za – a new learning portal is being setup by Digital Inclusion.
The objective of the platform is to present a consistent experience for participant accessing courses from multiple Partners. Whether accessing educational technology focused courses, personal development courses, or other courses presented by targeted partners, participants will enjoy a simple and intutitive experience.
Digital Inclusion is positioned to provide course design, development, and delivery supporting services to Partners.

Digital Inclusion and SARUA have jointly planned, hosted, managed and presented two tracks of weekly webinars.
These webinars are recorded and presented for review by interested parties.
Over the past few years I have interacted with numerous specialists at educational institutions who are involved with moving to online delivery of education.
Many issues arise as we move from Face-to-Face, through blended to full online delivery of courses.
Summarising my experiences and thoughts, I have documented some key considerations for parties that are embracing online education and striving to ensure learners get the best experience and are fully supported in their learning.

Some time ago, I wrote a thesis on the Adoption of Technology in Education. When discussing this various players, I realised that writing a paper on the use of technology in teaching scenarios may be of use. As with most things, we learn by moving from simple to progressively more complex concepts and scenarios. Despite this, education authorities and institutions attempt to drive their educators to complex deployments of technology without mastering the basics.
Here is a paper describing progressive adoption and use of technology in teaching. I would appreciate feedback and comments.
Adopting Education Technology Solutions
Today I added a ‘Key Conversations‘ section in the Learning Areas menu. This includes a number short discussions (less than 10 minutes typically) that are focused on Education and Technology considerations. Discussions are normally centred on a single concept.
Key Discussions may be viewed as standalone discussions, but may also be incorporated as part of standalone lectures or lectures that are part of DI Courses if appropriate.
Any discussion topics that you would like addressed? Respond with a comment, or drop me an email, and I will look to find a subject matter expert that could prepare a discussion, or lecture, to address the requested topic.
